Cardan Shafts Repair Service at this year’s IAA Commercial Vehicles trade fair

GKN Industrial & Distribution Services participated at this year’s IAA Commercial Vehicles trade show in Hanover/Germany for the first time since many years. GKN sales representatives from all over Europe could present our Europe wide, enlarged exchange and repair service for Cardan shafts to customers and the interested public.

According to the organiser almost 300.000 visitors from 110 countries saw the largest and most renowned international trade show for trucks, parts and services from September 25 through October 2.  GKN Industrial & Distribution Services focussed on demonstrating the exchange and repair service for Cardan shafts, which we offer in Europe through a network of 28 workshop in 14 European countries. Two more workshops, one in Warsaw/Poland and one in Marseille/France, will open soon and another 14 will follow within the next few years. A service & repair film demonstrating all steps of the Cardan shaft repair process had been produced  for the exhibition and shown on our stand on six screens. To watch film on this website, click  “Commercial Vehicles – Service & Repair”.
One of the main achievements has been an OES service agreement with Volvo Truck for Germany. Similar service and repair agreements already exist with Daimler and MAN in Germany as well as with Volvo in the U.K. and Scandinavia. OES and independent workshops both benefit from our extended services for Cardan shafts  from light automotive to heavy trucks and buses:

  • Identification of spare parts by using the original part number
  • Maintenance and repair tailored to suit specific requirements
  • Approved and certified repair processes
  • Repair with warranty
  • Supply of the original spare parts within a few hours
  • 24-h service in many countries – 7 days per week.
